Why you should go back to school

It is totally unacceptable not to have a first degree. If you don't have one, after reading this post, please start making enquiries about how to get back to school. You are never too old to get some education /knowledge. Or are you content with being paid between 20k and 50k in Lagos state? Do you want to struggle and suffer forever? If you have an OND too, please go and get an HND asap. Else, don't complain when a 24year old, Msc holder with no experience, is placed above you, a 50year old OND holder.

Schooling isn't easy but it's the easiest phase of one's life. You can miss a class because you don't feel so well or because you have something else to attend to. You can't easily take a break from work and family life. Stop complaining about the pains of getting an education, appreciate it before life gets serious.‎

When someone bags her first degree and says "I'm done with school, no more reading for me." I feel like giving her a knock on her head to wake her to reality. I was once like that until my fourth year in University. I don't think anyone could have hated school as much as I did. Getting up early never fascinated me. I just wanted to get done with school and forget about studying forever. One of my lecturers asked me what my CGPA was. I told him 2.8. He let me know that if I do not make 3points, it's very unlikely I get admission into Law school that year, as the competition was stiff. That's how I got more serious with school.

Getting a job is not easy at all. There are first class and PhD holders who are jobless. It's by God's grace that one gets a job but one still has roles to play. You have to give yourself an edge. Masters' degree is pure water now. I don't even think one is fully educated until he has obtained it. If I were an employer, a person with a masters' degree would be given an edge over a (lazy) Bsc holder.

You have no idea where you'll find yourself tomorrow. God could open a door your never imagined. For example, the office of the D.G to a government parastatal is vacant. You, an Msc holder with 15years experience, and Mrs A, a PhD holder with 12years experience, are being considered. Who do you think has an edge? Mrs A!! You may even want to go into something else later on, it's better to be over prepared than under prepared.

Nobody is allowed to rest on her oars. You have to keep working on and improving yourself, except you're an island of knowledge. (You are not!!) Why else would Professors, Jurists, S.A.Ns and professionals who seemingly are at the very peak of their careers still be taking courses and attending seminars and conferences?
The higher the degree you have, the more knowledgeable and exposed you are.‎ The way you reason differs from the bunch. The more respect you are accorded.
I do not understand why anyone should be comfortable with a Bsc or Llb(/Bl). I'm not saying you should do everything at once or take every course you hear about. I'm saying please think about it, do not rest on your oars, endeavour to improve yourself as much as you can.  Do not only package your physical appearance, package your mental capacity too. Do your future a favour.‎

Dear Dr Lini would write in for us tomorrow, whoop whoop!! Do not miss it. Kindly message me if you have anything for us on tarabauer01@gmail.com Thanks for reading. I love you :*‎

I refuse to be biased and judgemental. I look at issues from both sides of the coin, form my conclusions and allow you do same. Hopefully we can put ourselves straight in love.
