I'm not sorry

So I have something very light on my mind...I noticed something lately - People are finding it EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to apologize....I dunno if it is just me or people around me. These days, it seems everybody has a justifiable reason for doing something idiotic or stupid and then BAM!...You hear the person say 'I am Unapologetic'.... I mean really?!...Let's talk...

When I go late to my classes, I get in there and I throw an apology into the wind 'I am sorry I am late' and then I take my seat. That apology is for my lecturer and the students for interrupting them...buh other students don't seem to care. A student came in 90mins late into the lecturer today and she just took her seat and at the end of the lecture, she asked my lecturer for the attendance pad and my lecturer told her, he had marked her absent, instead of apologizing and maybe telling the lecturer why she came in late after a 1-week holiday, she said, 'The fact still remains that I attended this lecture and you saw me and I saw you too, You can't possibly mark me absent when I am present'....I mean....Whatever happened to Apologizing?!?!?!?

I had a presentation today and one of my colleagues who presented, seemed to have presented the wrong topic......my lecturer allowed him finish and then called his attention to the mistake he made and he said this to my lecturer, 'No knowledge is ever wasted, even if this is the wrong topic, I still believe someone learned something from this...and I still had a presentation, that has to count for something right?'....Seriously?!!? I don't get why he didn't just apologize and let the whole class move on....he argued for bout 3 mins and get this -------Still NO apology!!!!!!

I was running to catch the elevator some days ago and there was a lady inside the elevator, I expected her to hold the elevator for me especially since she saw me buh nope!..she pressed 'Close doors'....I mean, even when she saw me running to catch the elevator!.....now I got there on time and caught it......when I got in, I expected her to apologize or flash a smile or something to show she is sorry....buh nope!....She held her head high and her nose in the air like she didn't do anything wrong....the elevator stopped on the 9th floor for someone to get it...a guy was standing outside and he was on the phone buh he was trying to dismiss the person on the line when she pressed the'Close doors' button again, now I flipped and yelled, 'The fuck is wrong with you mami?'....the guy looked at me, came in, apologized for making me hold the elevator for him and looked at the other lady disgustingly.....**screaming** and she still didn't apologize!!!!!!!

I need someone to tell me that this is not just happening to me...Are people becoming allergic to Apologies or what?....cuz that would just mean that we have reached a new'barbaric' in this world....and that sucks!

What do you think?

Can you tell this post wasn't written by me? 2. Okkkaaayyy.. I kinda knew it was Erniesha when i saw these 2 clauses: "Lets Talk" and "Mami".. But regardless yeah, No wahala and no love lost so.. i still gats comment.

You see ehn Bubba, i hate apologizing.. Call me ancient and modern yeah, but this 23 years 3 months and 14 days old-young and confused brother sees apologizing as a sign of weakness... I mean if i screw up, i find a way to make you know that I am sorry, but i never actually say those words.. except I am toasting you and dont want you to see me as a jerk sha.. **Winks.. lmao.. In my house while growing up.. When papa would get on my nerves and I would be cringing mad at him, he knowing he had fucked up would call me to his room and rather than say "Junior Sorry" yeah, he would in the most loving way say: "Junior Take this food and eat" **Offering me a part of his meal.. We grew up with this and hence learnt that words dont matter as much as actions do.

About the lady described above who kept closing the doors of the elevator yeah, .. I see only 2 reasons NO! 3 reasons why she could have been so bloody evil. 1. She was pressed and needed to go. 2. She is a relative to Lucifah. and 3. she just had a really busy day.. Do i judge her for being mean? Hell yeah! do i condemn her for deciding to be mean and shut the doors?! Hell no!! To all man his own, and each one has a choice.. Cheers Bubba..

P.S Thanks Anu for your comment on my blog on the recent post, i was fighting too many devils in my head and needed to be sure someone could relate to me regardless.. Thanks for coming by.. Like play play bubba, i am loving you more and more.. and the crowd goess..UUUuuuggghhh :)

    1. Apology doesn't always have to be verbal. A verbal apology void of remorse is nothing. We can all see you as jerks as long as your "toastee" doesn't? Lol. There's no biggie in saying you're sorry when you are.
      Love you more.

  3. It takes alot of courage to own up and apologise. Such humbling gesture is alien to the weak and myopic minds. On d contrary apology is not a sign of weakness, rather it is a xteristic of a strong and humble mind.

  5. Like I wrote on TTT, it's not only sorry these days. People find it hard to say ''thank you'' as well. People take favors for granted like say you owe them.
Might I add please? Do people even know saying ''please'' don't mean begging all the time? It's just being polite people!

  6. Thanks ever so much for this beautiful article Tibs. I'm still confused as to why people find it cry difficult to apologise. For crying out loud, apologising for what you have done wrong isn't going to take anything away from you!

  7. Sometimes I don't really like people apologizing knowing fully well they will repeat it allover.i personally don't appreciate when people apologise.i hardly apologise.i only apologise if I don't have excuse for my wrong(lawyer's sense.)some times kind gestures goes a long way than "I am sorry" of aa thing

    1. Mouthing the words "I'm sorry" without being sorry is nothing.
So if I offend you and I'm sorry, you won't allow me apologise? We'll fight until you allow me and accept my apology :p

  10. Only a proud man finds it hard to say I'm sorry when they are wrong. I used to be proud growing up like my ... But I realised that pride only goes before a fall, in secondary school, my pride almost made me loss some wonderful because of a little disagreement. I realised my mistake and apologised. Saying I'm sorry when you're wrong won't take anything from you, it will even set your soul free.

I refuse to be biased and judgemental. I look at issues from both sides of the coin, form my conclusions and allow you do same. Hopefully we can put ourselves straight in love.
