It's all in the packaging

The thirst, to have Nicki Minaj, Kim K, Modupe Ozolua, or my girl, Tosin's body, has refused to be watered down. Everybody wants the coke bottle figure 8. The craze for body shapers and the brazilian butt lift exercise isn't a joke. If you have Ronke Oshodi-Oke's figure, people will laugh. If you decide to go under the knife, they'll scream. What do "we" really want?
Most people have certain insecurities about their bodies with some more serious than the others. Some head to Dr 90210 and have them fixed, some live with it happily and the others have serious self-esteem issues thanks to it. If a woman feels ashamed of her body and loses her self esteem after having a couple of kids, why can't she do something about it if it depresses her so much? If Madea isn't happy with her looks and decides to give herself a facelift, liposuction and breast lift for her 60th birthday, has she committed a sin?
Nobody has really been able to give a biblical answer. They come from the moral point "God made you this way, in his image, you shouldn't alter it". Morality however varies from place to place. It may be wrong to wear mid-riff tops where you come from but in some areas, the traditional wear for maidens is a small wrapper tied around the boobs revealing the navel. God's plan for us was to be naked but things changed and he gave us "clothes", maybe he won't frown at cosmetic surgery.
My take on this is if it's not life threatening or doesn't give physical discomfort, let it be. But how about psychological pain? It's a myth that how you feel about yourself is related to how you look. Whether you see yourself as pretty is often divorced from the truth. You need to be sure you're applying the right medicine for what ails you. Do you mistakenly think you don't meet up to the society's standards? It's not worth it. That's vanity and a sheer waste. Philipians 2:3; Proverbs 11:25. Don't get it twisted, nobody is perfect, it's all in the packaging!
A baby born with defects, for example, has half of a nose or someone that survived a fire incident,..., should definitely have it. It'll improve the quality of their lives. It's facelift, brazilian butt augmentation, botox,..., that I'm not sure of that's why this post is up so anyone that has an opinion would kindly share/enlighten usSomeone asked "if God is against cosmetic surgery, why would he give us the knowledge?" I ask "if God was against the tree of good and evil why did he put it in the garden and give Adam and Eve the choice of eating from it?" If you say we should leave our bodies the way God made us, how about our complexion, hair and sex? I would never support bleaching (because of the health risks) or a sex change( are you kidding me?), if you ask for my opinion. I also will not judge.
If you're considering cosmetic surgery, beware of the surgical and long-term health implications. Ultimately, your expectations, motivation and safety must determine what you do. Have a good sunday everyone. xoxo

*Coke bottle figure 8 = Hourglass shape
Ronke Oshodi-Oke figure = Apple shape
 Dr 90210 = Plastic surgeons
Philipians 2:3 Instead of being motivated by selfish ambition or vanity, each of you should, in humility, be moved to treat one another as more important than yourself.
Proverbs 11:25 A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.

If these procedure are for life saving purposes then it's fine but what I don't get is d recent scramble for body enhancement especially by ladies. Many times, these procedure go wrong. Today I read about a lady that wanted a butt job & she was injected with a lethal dose of Silicon.. she died. If u must do it though, pls get a proper doctor. I hope I haven't judged sha? Nice work Anu, kip em coming.

I know that urge to take drugs and herbs, please don't succumb to it, many do more harm than good. I don't take offence when anyone says I'm not a lepa, at least, it's not a lie.I should say "yes o, am I not pretty?" Look at Toolz, Chigurl, Omotola and co, when they package, "fat" isn't the first thing that will come to your mind. Please feel free to join the #teampackaging.
