Can I have it now?

Yesterday was day 183 of the year. The second half of year 2014 begins today. Am I excited? Nope. Am I happy? Very! I certainly do not have all I want. The first half didn't bring all the goodies I was hoping for but I do have everything I need. I have life, good health, an amazing family, awesome friends, the world's most adorable pup, i'm not sitting by my loved ones at the hospital, i'm not in debt, i'm almost done with NYSC (Hallelujah!), i'm totally loving my locs, I have a blog and best of all, I have a faithful God.
I don't know what the second half holds. I do know what I want but God knows what I need. As the disciplinarian that he is, no matter how much we pray or cry, he gives us only what we need and when we need it. *sniff sniff* Despite this, we still need to Matthew 7:7. Just like we ask mom for a dress and she could seemingly ignore, say "no" or "not yet", no matter how much we cry or fuss. That's if small "beating" or "bad eye" doesn't come with it. Dear God, I want to fly private jet style to the Bahamas for a week of some serious TLC and pampering. It will be nice to watch the world cup matches live in Brazil, whether or not I love football. A girl is allowed to like "better" thing, right?
So i'll just pray, hope, be a good girl and be happy while I wait. You should too. Have a beautiful second half. xoxo

*NYSC = National Youth Service Corps
 TLC = Tender Loving Care

We most times want God to give us what we want just that same hour but God is not man, and i feel He says, my son/daughter relax cos i always have a better option. But most importantly God will not give us somethings because we may not be able to handle it, if many own a private jet now, to humble go hard, so God wont give us things to destroy us, He will rather wait till we can handle it.
